FAVORITE MOTOR LODGE

THE NORTHSHIRE MOTEL is a tranquil retreat nestled in the foothills of Mount Equinox (the highest peak in the Taconic Mt. chain). Floor to ceiling sliding glass doors provide a magnificent view of the snow-capped mountains and of the alluring valley below. At night, a crystal-clear, sparkling blanket of stars will lull you into dreamland. The rooms are spacious and nicely furnished, providing all the comforts of “home in the country”. A complimentary continental breakfast (Vermont Style), awaits you each morning. If you are a downhill skier, the slopes at Bromley Mt. and Stratton Mt. are an easy 15 to 30 minutes away. Traffic jams are non-existant here! If you love cross-country skiing, there are informal trails right out the back door or Hildene Ski Touring Center is just 2 miles down the road. This area is also a haven for snowmobilers and snowshoers. Should you tire of the great outdoors, there are shopping and restaurant experiences that will keep you very busy during your entire stay! Visit their website www.northshiremotel.com or call 802-362-2336 for more information and availability.

FAVORITE INN

THE MANCHESTER HIGHLANDS INN Welcome to Manchester's best kept Secret! Perched on a hill overlooking town, away from the crowds, yet close to the action, the Manchester Highlands Inn is just the spot you've been looking for. As soon as you enter you'll feel the special atmosphere: classical music in the background; Humphrey, the cat, curled up on the sofa; the aroma of something delicious baking in the oven. This lovely Victorian Inn and Carriage House features fifteen charming guest rooms, recently refurbished with such things as feather beds, down comforters, and lace curtains. The living room, sun filled wicker room, game room and pub are comfortable spots for relaxing, snoozing or meeting your fellow guests. Breakfast at the Inn is one of the best reasons for getting out of bed, even a feather bed...Morning Glory Muffins, Lemon Souffle Pancakes, Cheddar Souffles, and, of course, plenty of warm Vermont Maple Syrup. You probably won't have room for lunch
Although you may not want to, there are actually many good reasons to leave the Inn and explore the surrounding countryside. You can hit the slopes in less than 15 minutes and Manchester's fine restaurants, shops and galleries are just footsteps away. The Manchester Highlands Inn is a spot that you will want to return to, again and again! www.highlandsinn.com or 800-743-4565.
